OUR APPROACH

Boxwood Cabinetmakers believe form and function go hand in hand. Our furniture combines traditional build techniques with contemporary design to make best use of the space. A detailed consultation with clients ensures that the arrangement of internal drawers, shelving and hangers is tailored to make regular use of the furniture comfortable and convenient.

Our furniture can be designed to integrate seamlessly with other furniture in a room, fitted or freestanding. You may already have a fitted cupboard in one alcove and require an exact match for another alcove. You may have already bought bedroom or lounge furniture and want a piece to tie in. Boxwood Cabinetmakers’ knowledge of timbers, construction and finishing can help bring your ideas to fruition.

We also take into consideration budgets and will recommend ways in which money can be saved on materials. Painted or waxed pine fitted furniture is a less expensive option to hardwoods, such as Oak or Ash, and often proves to be the most suitable option for people who may have been considering hardwoods. With consideration to the environment we also use composite materials such as MDF, decorative board and veneers if they offer the best option. But, should your heart be set on Oak wardrobes we are happy to provide the best price possible on timber and, as all cabinetmakers do, we enjoy working with the finest materials.
